 The David L. Boren Lounge was named by the OU Board of Regents in 2001 to mark David L. Boren's 60th birthday in recognition of his devotion to students. David L. Boren served as Governor of Oklahoma from 1975-1979, U.S. Senator from 1979-1994 and became the University's thirteenth President on November 17, 1994. The Boren Lounge may be rented for receptions with 30 people or less. Permanent furnishings include a sofa, arm chairs, and study tables.
